Shirkeybars’s advice to upcoming creators

If I can give words of advice to any upcoming creators, I would say.. “STAY CONSISTENT”. No matter what, ignore views and stay focused. You have to branch out of your comfort zone!

Tell us about your journey and how it started?  

I’ve been playing games since I was little and my father influenced me since he loves gaming so much. Since then, I have become hooked. As time went by, I continued playing games for fun until college.

When the pandemic started, my friends, especially my best friend encouraged me to stream. I started to watch streamers and never knew how big this Gaming Industry will be, that is when my career as a streamer emerged. I started streaming way back last year on June 20, 2020, when my first streamed game was Mobile Legends.

Shortly after, Valorant was released. That was when I became fully committed to streaming.

Allow me to flex about myself a little here, but I’m really proud of what I achieved so far😎. I bravely chose the life of streaming even with zero followers. I started from scratch and now I’m here! A stronger Shirkeybars with a hundred thousand followers on Facebook Gaming, which I built on my own.

I remember grinding every day for 8 hours per stream to reach every milestone I have, just to get where I am today. Simply put, I’m a very competitive and positive person who loves gaming. 😆

What is a typical day like for you? 

A typical day for me is to start a day with a coffee and sit on my gaming setup and play games for fun.

Biggest challenge and achievement on Gank

The biggest challenge was battling my introverted nature. I was always shy around my viewers but Gank helped me out! I practice in-game social interaction with my viewers by playing with them randomly, it boosted my self-esteem as a public figure.

How do you use your donations? 

I appreciate every individual who donated and helped me throughout my career, especially for upgrade purposes like specs and peripherals, it helped me a lot since I play games for a living.
