What is a typical day like for you?
Normally, I start the day off by checking my social media mails and emails. This way, I can reply to clients and get everything organized at the start of the day. I then look over my to-do list and get started on the projects that have are of my top priority. I then spend most of my day contacting clients through social media and emails.
During my free time, I will continue to make my costumes or do some content for my social media, but most of the time I will do gaming live streams.
When did you start to Stream?
Since 2018 during my last semester of my university.
When did you start to cosplay?
I started cosplaying in 2013. I chose the name Saakira because I still want people to know me by my real name Syakirah, So I just changed it a bit to Saakira and added Izumi at the back to make it a new name. Izumi meaning “spring” or “fountain”, is a Japanese given name and surname.
What is your biggest challenge and achievement on Gank?
Getting featured on Gank was my biggest achievement! Initially, I didn’t know much about this platform, but their staff were really helpful and explained to me patiently what Gank was trying to do for content creators like myself. And the rest was history.
How would you use your donations?
For donations, I will use them to fund more of my projects. I always ask my viewers if they wanted to give me more other than on FB or Twitch. Nowadays I really hope they can support me through Gank, as there are no platform fees and I can earn more from my content this way.
