Tell us about your journey and how it started?

I started the journey when I attended my first ever cosplay event in 2010 which was held in the Times Square ballroom in Kuala Lumpur ballroom.

My cosplay debut was as Akiyama Mio, from “K-ON”. I love this character because her personality is similar to mine, naturally shy & timid but able to have a full tub of confidence & amazing stage presence when performing on stage.

I really like to sing, so I wanted to play out my life and dress like my favorite character, to be as brave as her. And that’s how I started to cosplay.

What is a typical day like for you?

I’m a Human Resource executive by day & a cosplayer by night. I love dressing up as anime characters & sing!

Biggest challenge and achievement on Gank

When I first used Gank as a platform for my merchandise sales at one of the live cosplay events, walk-in customers were having a tough time downloading, registering & purchasing via the Gank app due to poor internet connection issues at the event site. This resulted in long queues at my booth.

I learned so much from that event and for subsequent ones, I will be working with the Gank team to do pre-event purchases and hype campaigns to reduce such situations and make the events more enjoyable for all my supporters!

Gank is the only platform that enables users to buy content creator merchandise, find gaming companions, and get news and updates about your favorite influencers and cosplayers. There are also many local payment options available for each country they are in. For example, in Malaysia, they have Touch ‘n Go as one of the withdrawal methods for content creators.

I feel safer when earning from my content on the Gank platform when I am paid locally.

What rewards do you offer to your members/subs?

I am currently not setting up any membership offer. But I do have quite a few digital merchandises for sale!

How would you use your donations?

I would really like to work towards having my first Gaming Desktop for streaming! Every donation of more than US$100 will definitely get a set of merchandise when my goals are achieved!
