After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, AFA – Anime Festival Asia will finally return to Suntec City, Singapore, on November 25 – 27. This is the first physical event that the largest and most followed J-Culture and ACG (Anime Comics Games) festival will have since its record-breaking attendance in 2019.
Everyone is excited about the revival of the AFA, a household name for J-Pop culture lovers in South East Asia. Since its inception in 2008, the AFA has held over 30 festivals in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. In fact, it was an almost yearly fixture in Suntec City until the COVID-19 Pandemic struck.

Non-Stop Entertainment
All the J-pop culture goodness we’ve come to expect from AFA is back in full swing s at the AFA Day Stage, Akiba Stage, and Night Live! There is so much in store for us across all three days. There are special anime screenings, cosplay competitions, I love anisong concerts, Vtuber talk shows and meet & greets, live panel discussions, and so much more! Expect a jam-packed weekend of fun with something for everyone.
Cosplay and Cosplayer Meet & Greet
Celebrating J-Pop Culture and ACG is inseparable from the cosplay community. Expect the entire festival to be abuzz with the most creative interpretations of your favorite characters from all your fandoms. This year, AFA will bring in six featured cosplayers: Charess (Philippines), Ely (Taiwan), Hakken (Malaysia), Hiroto Karamasu (Japan), Thame Malerose (Thailand), and homegrown talent Xiaouyukiko (Singapore). You can have your selfies with the featured cosplayers taken and instantly printed at the AFA Photo Booth. The all-new Cosplay Hub will also have special activities and exclusive merchandise from the most popular budding cosplayers.
AFA Creator Hub
There will be more than 150 creators showcasing their wares in what is expected to be the largest creator hub so far, as AFA partners with Pixiv, Japan’s biggest online art community. Immerse yourself in a truly global creative community with creators coming from all over the world.

A grand gathering of content creators won’t be complete without Gank joining the festivities. Visit us at Booth B7 near the AFA Day Stage and check out the awesome surprises we have in store!
